Our rating for this highly desirable original double D-Series Ace Sci Fi novel:
(See our FAQ for a description of our unique Sci Fi rating system.)
Generally tight and square. Minimal to no chipping on edges. 'Herculum' cover has minor reading crease. 'Lost Race' has a 1/2 inch crack on edge and a visible crease that runs the length from top to bottom about 1 inch from edge. Spine has one minor crease. This is certainly a collectible piece and offers a really affordable way to own cover art from both Emsh and Valigursky, not to mention it is a fine example of late 1950's sci fi as a member of Ace's earliest (and many think, best quality) of double novels.
